The lawn at Ned’s Point Lighthouse filled early with mats, water bottles, and quiet conversation as people settled in under a bright, cloudless sky. Jenn Risio of The Studio in Mattapoisett led the donation-based class, guiding the group through a steady flow with the lighthouse behind them and the water just beyond the trees.
It was a simple setup — grass underfoot, open air, and the sound of the breeze mixing with the occasional instruction. From the ground the class looked focused and calm. From above it looked even better: a wide circle of people moving together on the green, the white lighthouse standing in the foreground, and the shoreline of Mattapoisett stretching out in the distance.
This outdoor class was held in support of the NCG Foundation, which continues the work of honoring Noah Curtis Greany through cancer research, scholarships, youth programs, and community kindness in Mattapoisett and beyond. Every donation from the morning helped further that mission.
No frills, no big production. Just a solid outdoor class in one of the prettiest spots in town, open to anyone who wanted to show up, move, and give back.
